User Manual
Complete guide to using Mithril Forge for D&D encounters.
Welcome to the Mithril Forge manual. Mithril Forge is a browser-based encounter tracker that runs across two screens: a private view for the Dungeon Master and a public view for the players.
Instead of writing initiative orders on a whiteboard or tracking hit points on scratch paper, you manage the fight from your laptop while your players watch the turn order update live on a TV.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Dual-screen tracking: You see stat blocks, exact HP, and hidden conditions. Players see only the turn order, names, and health status indicators.
- Built-in monster stats: You can search the SRD database to pull in standard monsters with their full stat blocks, Armor Class, and hit points.
- Fast combat management: You can roll initiative for an entire group of goblins at once, apply area-of-effect damage to multiple targets, and track temporary hit points.
Where to start
Section titled “Where to start”- Getting Started: How to launch the app and set up your two screens.
- Encounter Tracking: Adding monsters and understanding the DM vs. Player views.
- Combat & Turns: Managing initiative, hit points, and creature allegiances.
